Our Mission

The TryMe Campaign was founded by Danielle Evans in October 2019.

Danielle Evans is a female rugby player based in Sussex and is also Miss Social Media 2019/2020, meaning she will be competing for Miss Great Britain in 2020.

Being a beauty pageant contestant and rugby player, Danielle found that nobody put the two hobbies together. It was quickly discovered that there was a huge stereotype surrounding the female rugby community and that needed to be broken.

As the campaign took off and Danielle started visiting more schools and rugby clubs across the UK, it was soon revealed there was a lot more to this campaign.

#TryMe grew into campaigning not just female rugby players but genders in all sports, body positivity, how to deal with online bullying and building confidence.

#TryMe continues to grow and expand in a national and worldwide success, with people joining the movement in different countries and it being published in several publications. We are excited to see where our journey leads us in 2020.

All proceeds made in this campaign are going to Alex's Wish and Cancer Research UK. More information on these charities can be found below.

We believe everyone can embrace who they are,
can define their future, and can change the world.

Alex's Wish

Alex’s Wish is a charity set-up to eradicate Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, an aggressive form of Muscular Dystrophy that affects 1 in every 3,500 boys born. Every single muscle is destroyed due to a lack of protein.  It also affects the heart and lungs as these are muscles too.

Alex’s Wish was set-up by Emma and Andy Hallam (parents to Alex) in late 2012 to help raise vital funds to help bring about new treatments and ultimately a cure for this devastating condition.

Our Mission

Cancer Research

Did you know that 1 in 2 of us will be diagnosed with cancer at some point in lives.

Survival rates have doubled in the last 10 years; this is due to hard work and research carried out every single day. However, we are still not there yet.

For example, every 20 seconds, a women is diagnosed with breast cancer.

Much like Alex's Wish, the funds raised help scientists carry on with research and one day, we will beat cancer.
